What to Bring on the Biology 578 Field Trip

Here are a few suggestions about stuff to bring on this trip. Plan for the all-day drive up in the van, three nights, two whole days outside, and the all-day drive back. In terms of meals this means

"On this field trip, it's going to be sunny, it's going to rain, and it's going to snow. It's going to be hot, and it's going to be cold. All in the same day." (H.R. DeSelm)

How much will it cost?  There are no fees involved.  The Biology Department has provided funds for one 15-passenger van and gas. Therefore, your expenses will depend on whether you ride in the van or drive yourself.  If you drive, I recommend carpooling because you can split the costs of gas and food.

Here is an approximate budget for each person.  These figures are a bit liberal.  If you split food costs and don't let your money evaporate, you could get by with less.
